"Still I Rise"

I’m a Scottish creative, I grew up in Edinburgh and studied Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent. Evolving from a fine art background, I’m drawn to conceptual fashion; my initial love for art drew me to develop bold, visually impactful, designs. I specialise in design development, concept and creative directing. I enjoy developing designs and establishing how they are projected and received, whether in 2D or 3D. Over time I’ve developed a distinctive, unorthodox, “provocative” style with bold tailoring and an innovative use of materials. The most important element of my brand is people’s reaction when they see my work, from the concept and visuals to how women feel when wearing my garments. Having a greater sociological understanding of life, but never being particularly good at translating it into words, I found fashion as a means of expressing my ideas. It provides me with the opportunity to grow and reflect, while fulfilling a desire to educate others through a design medium.
