Patrícia Oliveira is a menswear designer, focused on creating tailoring pieces that blur the line between masculine or feminine. Patrícia’s work reflects her search for a connection between the poetry of life’s experiences and a reflection on self struggles to make garments with meaning and purpose. Designing menswear has made her aware of the gap between the affection men have toward clothes, in comparison to women, so the aim was to start from the selection of technical features with approachable conceptual silhouettes and the exploration of creative pattern cutting. It was also at this time that an ongoing passion for ceramics naturally grew into the desire of making them wearable. Debauched and Divine is a trip to darkness, the unexpected chaos and gentle expression of your truest and highest being. It is an experiment with dark colours but also patterns that marry Hieronymus Bosch’s most used colour palette, and structured materials that would then be manipulated.
