The Yorkshire G's

Annie Speckman is a British Fashion Designer from East Yorkshire. Specialising in Menswear design, Annie combines sportswear and workwear to create an interesting Final Collection. After studying Fashion Design for 4 years, Annie has a strong interest in menswear and this is due to the silhouette and detailing that is used within it. Pattern cutting and technical is Annie's strength, as she loves the challenge that comes with pattern drafting new shapes, ideas and details. The Yorkshire G's is a project based on Annie's family history of her Grandads, Brian and Ray. Exploring into their history as a Jockey and a Rugby League player, and combining these to create an interesting collection which delves into shapes, colours and movements. Also exploring Grandad Ray's history of Bricklaying and looking into the geometric shapes that are used within it, and using this to create a geometric style print which was inspired from bricklaying.
