Heel-----------Face

A sportswear collection depicting the story of a professional wrestler and his journey from a young, 'green' and 'face' character into a darker, more experienced and worn 'heel' character. The collection exhibits the training and trauma these athletes put their bodies through in order to enhance their performances. Within the background research for the collection, the journey of a professional wrestler is paralleled and related to that of a ballet dancer. Using the Darren Aronofsky films 'Black Swan' and 'The Wrestler' as supporting imagery and for concept context.
