OTTO

Otto Alexander Smith is a Artist who specialises in Knitwear and of recent denim. Currently in their final months of the MA Fashion course at the Royal College of Art. Otto has always tried to communicate his poetry inspired by his historic makeup, aka traumatic experiences of physical and mental manipulation. As an artist they have been at a crossroads with how to communicate their words to their design. Of recent times, he has found a love within denim, a fabric, embodied centuries with history. The relationship they have found with denim is due to the analysation of denim overalls and the consumer. For which each consumer ageing denim depending on their lifestyle, making all denim unique to the consumer. He found this relationship through working at Nudie Jeans where he rebuilds and repairs consumer jeans.
