Stillwater began with the discovery of the late American illustrator Tasha Tudor. I found myself captivated reading about her isolated existence living in New England. Inspired by her honing of traditional crafts, I looked at antique metal carpet beaters to inform the use of wire within my designs. Women’s fashion of the late 1800s influence specific details which have been modernised through the use of vibrant stretch materials.
