Location: London, United Kingdom
University/College: Central Saint Martins Specialisms: Menswear
Adam Elyassé is a Designer/Artist addressing an interdisciplinary approach with a background in art, pattern cutting, anatomy and basketball. Graduating with an MA in Fashion at Central Saint Martins, he is the recipient of the Dior Man BFC scholarship and the Theory New York Scholarship Award. Born and raised in East London with a strong connection to his ethnic background in Southern Morocco, his MA collection is a modular conversation of dual identity in the diaspora of African and multi-cultural British heritage. The collection is entirely reversible with interchangeable components supporting the concept of sustainable communication between product and user. All fabrics have been treated and/or dyed with natural elements while inspiration was drawn from the French Foreign Legion to reinforce the semiotic notion of uniform and community in his aesthetic.
