Christine Ha is a Womenswear Designer pushing dramatic shape and volume through drape and innovative pattern cutting. For her graduate collection, Ha paints a complex portrait of Asian-American femininity, applying a modern spin to the appropriated catwalk glamour of the ‘90s and ‘00s. Flipping the Western imagination of the yellow woman, these garments underscore her affliction and silent presence in the room. Within this unease, Ha was inspired to make this a collection for the defiant woman.
