‘The Way in which a Garment or Fabric Hangs’ is a collection based on curtain drapery techniques. It explores the process of curtain draping techniques, the manipulations of fabric, the way it can be transformed onto the female body through technical corsetry techniques and pattern cutting. It plays around with the contrast of consistent gathers and the natural drape intertwined with a range of lightweight fabric. This collection has been constructed and developed in a way that honours the beauty of the process. It creates curves of softness and appealing shapes around the female body.
