Womenswear designer interested in evening wear, outerwear and modular clothing, with industry experience interning at Supriya Lele and Molly Goddard. ‘Morphic Mata’ is a womenswear collection exploring a hybrid of Victorian women climbers and iconic 60s ski wear, contrasting traditional feminine garments and silhouettes with sportswear fabrics and detailing, delivering a balance of luxury sculptural evening wear and outerwear that is also wearable and functional. I set out to produce clothing with the ability to transform into multiple styles and continually be adjusted. Exploring ideas of flat pack and modular clothing, led to developing two methods of construction - the one-piece method entailing the manipulation of one pattern into a garment through twisting, compression and poppers and a second interlocking method, where the whole garment is slotted together like a jigsaw.
