French womenswear designer interested in tailoring and eveningwear, graduated with a pattern cutting B-tech Higher Diploma in Toulouse (France) in 2020 and a BA (hons) Fashion Design at University of Brighton in 2023 with industry experience interning at Gomez-Gracia in London. ‘Allumeuse’ is a womenswear collection exploring tailoring, fabric development as well as silhouette through contrasting skin and fabrics. The collection is inspired by the femme fatales of 1940s film noir such as Gilda, The Unholy Wife, etc. Femme Fatales in this type of movie were a step forward for feminism in a post-war society, and represented power, strength, and confidence to me. From smoke to fire and violence, my collection describes the glamour and danger of these iconic characters. Using 1940s menswear tailoring references, the collection plays around with sharp silhouette and volume to add a sense of glamour and power to the looks.
